Thanking Activitiy: Northrop Frye

 Thanking Activity : Northrop Frye.

 Hello readers,

Herman Northrop Frye  was a Canadian literary critic and literary theorists. His interests in imagination archetype, myths, the Bible. his first book Fearful symmetry 1947, and others important work Anatomy of criticism 1957.

What is Archetypal criticism?  What does the Archetypal critic do ?

An archetype, also known as “universal symbol” may be a character, a theme, a symbol, or even a setting.  Manyliterary critics are of the opinion that archetypes – which have a common and recurring representation in a particular human culture, or entire human race – shape the structure and function of a literary work.

In literature, an archetype is a typical charecter an action, or a situation that seems to represent universal patterns of human nature.

According to Carl Jung, Swiss psychologist, argued that the root of an archetype is in the “collective unconscious” of mankind. The phrase“collective unconscious” refers to experiences shared by a race or culture.

What is Frye trying prove by  giving an analogy of physics to nature and Criticism to literature.?

Frye's trying to compare the two elements like... physics to nature and Criticism to literature. and here Frye discuss the four seasons that is..

Northrop Frye given Archetypal criticism to connecting with cyle of nature.

Share your views of criticism an organised boys of knowledge mention relations of literature with history and philosophy.

We know that the literature is a part of our study but it's also useful in our life and another subject like History and philosophy,  so is  that literature is the body of all writers works while philosophy is the love of wisdom.
Philosophy of history examine the theoretical foundations of the practice application and social consequences of history and historiagraphy.

Briefly explain inductive method with illustration of Shakespeare's Hamlet crave diggers scene.

Inductive method was used by so many writers ..in the grave digging scene in Hemlet is a specific scene and thee were two men who made a grave for Ophelia. Singing a song and quietly do his work and the letter Hamlet express his love  after Ophelia's death .so we can say that this is the example of the induction method particular to general.

Briefly explain deductive method with reference to an analogy to music, painting, rhythm and pattern.

A   deductive approach involves the learners being given a general rule, which is then applied to specific language examples and honed through practice exercises.

The reference to analogy to music, painting, rhythm and patterns there are importance in the deductive method. There is supporte of music and arts to literature so some are keeps and moving with time.

Give example of the outcome of deductive method, Refer to the Indian seasonal grid. (If you can, please read a small Gujarati, Hindi and English poem from the Archetypal approach and apply Indian seasonal grid in the interpretation.)

This poems about Indian seasonal and very interesting..
The poet and writer using the metaphor in his works and archetype charecter and symbols....etc..

Thanking Activity:   discussion about conflict between literature and religious.

The relation between religion and literature it's complicated, because of the thinking of critic. In Criticism divine or you can say God treated as human beings. That's why they don't believe in Superior power.
The most apparent and apposite justification for including literary materials in the study of religion is the historical one. What is most obvious, however, is often overlooked. In virtually every high-cultural system, be it the Indic, the Islamic, etc..

In Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, and several major divisions of Buddhism, sacred and secular hermeneutics have developed, at various periods, in a parallel or mutually influential manner. To ignore this interrelatedness of holy and profane texts and the interdependence of their interpretive sciences is to distort large segments of the world's literary and religious history.

Thank you...
